The Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) of 2010 was introduced and implemented on 15 November 2013. It sets out a complete cross-sectoral framework in order to protect individuals’ personal data with regard to commercial transactions.
awareness training covers an introduction to the PDPA 2010 law, identifies the
relevant stakeholders and highlights the roles and responsibilities of
protecting personal data, as well as understanding the Do’s and Don’ts and
other workplace practices in relation to personal data protection.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and the consequences of non-compliance.
- Identify roles and responsibilities in protecting the personal data of
individuals, the organisation and the clients.
- Reorganise daily workplace practices to ensure compliance with the data
security measures in the PDPA.
- Develop principles and mechanisms to detect and prevent unauthorised
management and dissemination of personal data.
